Pumpkin Soup and Garnish

WINFRITH COMMUNITY FOODS

Winfrith Community Foods evolved in 2016 recognising the need of providing good home cooked style food on a regular basis in Winfrith Village Hall to residents of the village and surrounding neighbourhoods. After the reopening of the Village Hall following its refurbishment, including a new kitchen, it all gathered pace. The scheme consists of teams of people from St. Christopher's Church and Winfrith Village Hall and friends.

“Lunch for All” is provided on the 3 rd Wednesday of each month at Winfrith Village Hall
except for July and August. There is a speaker each month on topical subjects. Soup n Pud
is held on the first Friday of each month and this consists of homemade soup and puddings.
Its easy to come along to - there are no tickets, and we operate an "everyone welcome" basis.
We ask for donations and any surplus is donated to various groups and activities within the
Parish
Its also easy to volunteer to help. There is a master roster, and you just pop your name down,
offering to make a pudding, serving, setting up the hall and other jobs. There is a great spirit
of friendliness and "bon homie" as well as providing some lovely meals.

Now again Afternoon teas are prepared, usually for fundraising purposes. These are often
of a vintage nature using fine China and embroidered tablecloths. We also have coffee
mornings at the Village Hall.

We are open to helping with new ideas, so contact us if you have something in mind.

Winfrith Community Foods run workshops from time to time. These will be advertised in the Parish News and on Winfrith Newburgh Facebook page.
