Dear Hirers of Winfrith Newburgh Village Hall
Guidelines for Hirers:
Moving forward with caution (living with Covid):
We are pleased to be allowed to be opening up the Hall again and we are keen to see the return of bookings and events. In turn we are required to issue these guidelines to help us stay as covid free as possible. The requirement is for Trustees, hirers and those attending to be made aware, in our Village Hall, of how best to stay safe and minimise the potential risk virus transfer.
The onus is on us, as all to protect each other and ourselves and especially those who are vulnerable or have not yet been fully vaccinated.
The implications of having a local outbreak could be quite serious for people getting ill which could result in us having to close the Village Hall for a period of time. Let us proceed with caution.
“Consideration of others” are the watchwords:
We encourage and ask all Hall Users to:
1 Position a person on the door to explain the “dos and don’ts” for the booking.
2 Consider the flow of people attending an event.
3 Wear facemasks indoors (especially when it is “busy”)
4 Social distancing of 1 metre wearing a face mask and 2+ metres without a face mask is highly recommended (where practical).
5 Arrange sitting (where practical), with people not sitting directly opposite each other.
6 To further mitigate risk of transmission, please keep doors and windows open to increase ventilation. This will mean keeping the heating off whenever possible. You may want to factor this into the way those attending the event, dress as it could be cooler/warmer than normal depending on the weather.
7 To assist with national control measures we do ask you Hall users to continue to register when you come to the Hall, either by scanning a QR code, or filling in the track and trace sheet.
8 Please advise those attending the event: If they are feeling unwell do not come to the Hall and it is highly recommended that a lateral flow test is taken. 9 The decisions relating to the above rests with the Hirer of the Hall and those attending the particular event, following their own risk assessment.
10 Laminated signs (detailing the above) are available for Hirers to use and display.
Numbers:
The numbers allowed for an event must be within the following (which are slightly lower than allowed during non covid times):
Main Hall: Seating capacity (in rows) reduced from 90 to 72
Main Hall: Seating at tables reduced from 56 to 44
Committee Room: Maximum number reduced to 8
These reduced limits are designed to improve air flow and social safe distancing and will be reviewed from time to time in the light of experience and Government Covid updates.
The above will be displayed on the website. Please google: “Winfrith Newburgh village hall”
